Somerset FA Partner with Team Websites

Digital sports start-up Team Websites are delighted to announce they are the new official “Grassroots Football Websites Partner” of Somerset FA.

Working on a tight budget, and with the cost of running a club generally increasing at grassroots level each year, we built the foundations of Team Websites to allow grassroots football clubs to supercharge their online presence and create a club website that they can be proud of.

A club website should be simple to set up, easy to use and fully responsive. Does yours tick all 3 boxes? Expensive? A website just like the pros, just without the luxury price tag! Powerful, full of features and versatile. Keep club members up-to-date while on the go and customise your new website with your club’s colours.

With our Free website platform, you can choose from 4 different templates and create as many players, teams, matches and custom pages as you wish. Or upgrade for a small monthly fee to attach your own custom domain name (www.yourclub.co.uk) and manage email accounts. Take back control of your website and finally have the final say on which pages appear in your site’s navigation bar.

Updating your website should be easy. Our bespoke admin panel streamlines the whole process of updating your website, with well sign-posted sections and pointers along the way. Fully integrated with your club’s social media pages, such as Facebook and Twitter, there is also the option to display your latest YouTube videos in just a few clicks.

As the governing body of football in Somerset, Somerset FA have been both very positive and supportive of Team Websites since establishing contact. While they share our commitment and passion for the game, they also recognise our website product as “flexible, easy to use and very responsive”.

Conor Ogilvie-Davidson, Marketing Officer at Somerset FA, was full of praise for our club website product: “We at Somerset FA are very excited to partner with a young and dynamic digital sports start-up, Team Websites, and promote their fantastic website building platform to our affiliated clubs and leagues in Somerset.”

“We believe in only offering the best to our affiliated clubs and leagues, and we have been very impressed with Team Websites,” said an enthusiastic Ogilvie-Davison. “Their platform is flexible, easy to use and very responsive. Our clubs and leagues will have the option to try the free-forever package or to upgrade to a paid package with more features for exclusively discounted rates through this partnership.”

Clubs affiliated to Somerset FA can now enjoy a 10% discount as part of this partnership. Simply use coupon code SOM18 at checkout. Or for those in receipt of FA Charter Standard status, a 20% discount, using code SOMCH18.

Nick Brown, co-founder and Business Manager of Team Websites, is optimistic of what the future beholds: “We are really excited to announce that we have teamed up with a County FA who are very proactive with supporting teams and finding the very best football products to then promote to their member clubs, leagues and referees. Working alongside Conor so far has been very productive and we feel this new partnership will be beneficial for all Somerset clubs.”

He added: “We are committed to providing a website platform that not only allows our clubs to flourish but also one which is ethically right and sustainable.”

We recently built “enhanced” and exclusive safeguarding features for our club websites, such as the prominent display of contact details for both Club and County welfare officers, plus links to other institutions and organisations who provide support to young people. On this point, Conor added: “We suggested these features, and they were swiftly added in across the entire platform. This speed of implementation and commitment to the grassroots game is unrivalled by other platforms and left us really impressed.”

We both recognise a website is critical to the success of any football club in this digital age, in order to not only promote the club to recruit and retain players, but also to “ease the administrative burden on our volunteers”.
