We have seen a spike in the number of new website signups in the past few months. The team here at Team Websites HQ recently started brainstorming different ways about how we could give something back to grassroots football. We wish to recognise the clubs who invest in our mission to improve the online presence of clubs plying their trade at park football and semi-pro standard.
Today, we are launching a #NewSeasonNewWebsite campaign. UK-based clubs who sign up and purchase either an annual Amateur or Legend subscription will receive either free bibs or balls – a small gesture of goodwill in helping your team or club prepare for the start of the new season.
Clubs who sign up to our Legend package, which allows clubs to request a custom-designed website template that is unique to their club – costing £28 per month or £300 per year – get 10 free Grassroots Football-branded balls. Or, pick Amateur and claim 10 free bibs to get your team suited up for training for the coming season. Balls are available in sizes 3 or 4 whilst the free training bibs come in packs of extra-small, small, medium or large.
To claim this offer, please contact us, providing your site’s URL or username and a delivery address. Your goods should then be with you in no time.
We feel this is the perfect opportunity for clubs to create an additional revenue stream through website sponsorship and advertising, where ultimately your website acts as the central hub for your club within the local community.
Earlier this year, we were delighted to announce that clubs affiliated to Somerset FA can enjoy a discount off our paid packages. Use coupon code SOM18 to redeem a 10% discount off Starter, Amateur or Legend, or get 20% for those in receipt of FA Charter Standard status, using code SOMCH18.
At the same time, we are also delighted to release and launch our redesigned template, Excellence, which adapts and responds well to any screen size or device, meaning it is fully mobile-friendly. In the design phase of the redesign process, this was an essential point, with more users accessing websites from different devices – mobile, tablet and PC. With some of your site’s visitors still wishing to print a page of your club’s website, we designed an optimised printer-friendly version. This means that, even when printed, your website displays almost identical to the web version. We have also made a few stylistic design tweaks to the match and player profile pages, including displaying match lineups in a clearer yet comprehensive format. As before, webmasters can display club sponsors in the site’s footer. Displaying your latest three YouTube videos, Facebook and Twitter feeds, we hope clubs can now be proud of their new homepage.
Our admin panel (pictured above) has also just received a major upgrade to improve navigation and make it easier for new users to understand the different elements within their admin panel. We appreciate your feedback as we are always looking for areas to improve the product we provide.
Inevitably there will still be a few teething problems to iron out in the coming weeks, but we are optimistic about this design upgrade, with all existing sites now utilising the refreshed design of Excellence.
Existing clubs who wish to upgrade their website package can do so within the admin panel, or by contacting us.
